The inspiration for 1StopSLP began as a facebook group on October 17, 2017. As an SLP myself, I saw the value in creating a space where we could come together to support each other and share resources.
From the beginning, our mission has been to empower SLPs by providing valuable job opportunities, insights, and a sense of community. We aimed to curate postings that prioritize transparency and growth, allowing members to make informed career choices that align with their personal and professional goals.
The journey has been both rewarding and challenging, but along the way, I have been learning programming and exploring ways to make 1StopSLP an even stronger resource. Together, we’re building a community that collaborates, supports each other, and strengthens our field.

With over a decade of experience in Speech and Language Pathology, Shannon has honed his expertise across various facets of the field, specializing in remote TeleTherapy. Beyond his clinical work, he actively supports a dynamic and positive Facebook group for remote SLPs, fostering a space for community, resources, and connection. A tech enthusiast at heart, Shannon also enjoys coding and exploring new places whenever he can.
